We recently acted for clients Erinvale Properties Ltd in the unconditional acquisition of the former Drake Court residential care home from Shaw Healthcare. Occupying a prime acre plot in the very heart of the prestigious Cator Estate, the sale was forced because the locally Listed building does not comply with emerging care home standards. We became aware of the availability of the property before the closure was publicly announced, and introduced Erinvale, who have proven regular and reliable unconditional buyers in recent years. After their first sale aborted, Shaw reverted to our clients, and the purchase was completed expeditiously. Erinvale and their architects are in consultation with Greenwich Council finalising their proposals for the redevelopment of the site.
