It’s taken more than a year, and a mammoth effort on the part of our clients and their many consultants, but I am delighted to announce Taylor Woodrow’s recent acquisition of a key site in Biggin Hill, near Bromley in Kent. Following their purchase of the high profile Holwood Estate in Keston, we introduced the land that formerly housed the married quarters at Biggin Hill barracks to Taylor Woodrow in April 2003.
The land was owned by a private investment company Artesian, who did the initial groundwork in establishing the principle for residential development over several years. Various technical and contractual issues lef to the protraction of the sale to Taylor Woodrow which was nevertheless finalised in May.
Taylor Woodrow have employed architects Stefan Zins Associates, planning consultants Robinson Escott Planning & Lovejoys to conceive and promote a planning application for nearly 150 units, which has now been submitted.
