We've acted for Barnardos in the disposal of a number of properties in recent years.

This particular instruction came in the form of a redundant hostel and offices just off the South Circular on the Brockley / Forest Hill borders.

The property was purpose-built relatively recently (early 1990's), and sat amongst a mixed neighbourhood in terms of uses.

Given the above, and with the residential market not at its best at the time of instruction, we looked to other uses including education, health and faith in order to establish value.

Our marketing strategy was, as always, all encompassing, and resulted in offers from a variety of sectors. The property was secured by a local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, who following completion of their purchase, have pursued plans for the redevelopment of the site to provide a new place of worship.
